Sometimes the simplest ideas win the day! I was on stage doing a cooking demonstration at the National Kitchen and Bath Show. Vendors spend tens of thousands of dollars to build impressive booths to get people’s attention to view the latest trends in kitchen and bath. What was the stand-out, everyone-was-talking-about hit of the show? The water bar that the Convention Center set up for event-goers. It was SPECTACULAR! People couldn’t get enough of it! So, I “stole” the idea and brought it home to Arizona, where WE NEED something like this to stay refreshed and hydrated! What a perfect WOW idea for your next get-together or pool party! Here’s how I made my gourmet waters, each one a refreshing and delicious way to enjoy H2O!
Strawberry slices and basil leaves
Pineapple slices and rosemary twigs
Cucumbers, lemon slices, jalapeno slices and fresh mint
Orange slices, cucumber slices and basil or mint
Two parallel 40-year careers in media and in food that still excite me to this day. 24 farm animals that remind me that there are always needs much greater than mine. A tiny bit of free time here and there to go fly-fishing. And a kitchen that has become the joyful and busy heart of my home and my world.
