    For Momma’s Meatballs:
    1. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until translucent. Set aside to cool. Combine pork, beef, breadcrumbs, cheese, eggs, broth or water, parsley, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Mix just until ingredients are combined. Roll into small balls (about an inch and a half.)On a baking sheet slightly greased or lined with parchment paper, bake meatballs at 375 degrees for about 15 minutes or until meatballs are slightly browned. (Or brown meatballs in frying pan with a little oil until browned.)
    For Momma’s Homemade Meat Sauce:
    1. In a large pan (or Dutch oven) over medium heat, sauté onion, garlic, celery and carrot in olive oil until tender and translucent. Add beef and sausage and cook until browned. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, wine, bay leaves and basil. Simmer for about 45 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.

    Tip: To store sauce in Tupperware or freezer container, spray first with non-stick cooking oil to avoid staining the container.
